I hope this message finds you in the best of spirits. The Southwestern Informer (SI) is here to stay !!! It was started during the administration of Dwayne Murray as Southwestern Province Polemarch. It was brought back during the Chuck Carr Brown administration. Now, our Province Polemarch, Ron Julun, is emphasizing its importance even more. As the largest province within our noble clan it is vital that we have our own communications vehicle. Back issues of SI are now available on the Southwestern Province website under the Newsletter tab. The newsletter will go from annual to quarterly production and we want to make each newsletter better than the last, but to do so we need to hear from each chapter and each SWP Committee. So we are… Calling on ALL Chapter Reporters !!! Since our new theme is “Creating Inspiration – A Call to Service” we need to report on the positive impact that Kappa is having on our respective campuses and communities. We also want to make sure that as many chapters as possible from our province are highlighted in the Kappa Alpha Psi Journal. If you are currently serving as a Chapter Reporter, when you send your articles and photos via email please send them to me and to Dr. Keflyn X. Reed at the same time for inclusion in The Southwestern Informer and The Journal. If your chapter does not have a reporter, I would strongly urge that one be appointed to serve in that capacity so that your chapter’s efforts no longer remain a secret. If your chapter already has a chapter newsletter then feel free to submit that instead. If not, please email your photos and articles for the SWP Council / Spring edition as soon as possible, as well as the name and contact information for your Chapter Reporter in case we need to follow up.
